OUR PLACE
In the middle of the Weerribben, in the tiny village of "Nederland" lies our authentic thatched farmhouse from 1930. This farm used to be used as a dairy farm and the milk cans were transported on narrow punt boats over the water behind our farm. There were no roads yet and it was hard work in those days (everything was done by hand)
In the Visitor Center of Staatsbosbeheer, Hoogeweg 27 in Ossenzijl (nice bike ride) you can see the entire history of the Weerribben, including the peat cutters and reed cutters #free entrance #recommended
WEERRIBBEN LODGE
In the original and former ' front house' we have created our first B&B Lodge with a luxurious bathroom, kitchenette with mini fridge, oven for bread rolls and (according to many guests) a lovely Swiss Sense bed.
The garden and jetty are completely free for you as a guest to use with all privacy. On nice days we serve the regional breakfast on this jetty if desired! Is n't it great, fresh breakfast on the water with a view of the boats, who wouldn't want that?

Our 2nd B&B Wieden Lodge is ready! A beautifully decorated BnB with private terrace and wide views of the rural Natura 2000 area. A luxurious bathroom & kitchenette, NOW AVAILABLE FOR BOOKING!

Our B&B is located along the Weerribben Wieden Wandelpad and along the famous cycle routes to the 'must see' & picturesque villages: Giethoorn, Dwarsgracht, Belt Schutsloot, Blokzijl and Kalenberg . From our B&B you can walk or cycle straight into the Weerribben! #Nicethatyou'rethere!

Weerribben-Wieden, one of the most extraordinary areas in the Netherlands and the largest bog in Northwest Europe. Thanks to human hands cutting peat and reed, a unique landscape was created, full of lakes, waterways, reedlands, marsh forests and quaking bogs. A past full of peat and reed has created a stunning present. Breathtaking nature, endless water and historical towns and villages with great shops and amazing places to eat and drink. RETRAITES & COOKING
Leuk dat je op mijn site bent, Ik ben Esther, ondernemer en heb 'n prachtige BnB! Als hobby kok kan je mijn vinden op mooie retraites in binnen- en buitenland. Ik kook met veel passie & liefde de lekkerste vegetarische gerechten. Zoveel mogelijk lokaal en met verse (bio) producten, gewoon lekker van de boeren hier uit de polder. Mij boeken als kok? Prijs is 120,- p.p. voor een retraite van 2 nachten/3 dagen (incl. alle boodschappen o.a. 2 x ontbijt, 2 x lunch & 2 x diner in buffetvorm) voor minimaal 8 pers. met voor mij een slaapplek als het meer dan een uur rijden is. Voor afwijkende aantallen stuur Esther een mail Weerribben Lodgerie.
Ook zijn er regelmatig RETRAITES in mijn eigen sfeervolle boerderij in de Weerribben. Ik organiseer dit samen met collega Mariska van Rust in de Kop (hier kan je je ook aanmelden) De eerstvolgende Retraite is op 11 januari 2026. Kom je ook naar onze knusse niet zweverige Retraite? We gaan oude gewoonten loslaten en ons opladen met nieuwe inzichten voor 2026. Je bent welkom samen met je vriendin, moeder of zus en geef je over aan je innerlijke kind, meditatie, mindfulness, klankschaal, yoga en natuurlijk 'n heerlijke lunch. Wie zijn wij & Tips
We are Alfred and Esther Roelofs and after 25 years in Almere it was time for an "I'M LEAVING" moment and we changed course.. Moving from the big city to the neighborhood community 'Nederland' in a cozy authentic thatched farmhouse in the middle of the Weerribben in the head of Overijssel.. After a renovation of 1.5 years, our house and the B&B Lodges have become super beautiful & atmospheric! We are close to Giethoorn, Dwarsgracht, Kalenberg and Blokzijl with the most beautiful cycling routes! Drenthe and Friesland are also around the corner:-) We hope to meet you sometime in our B&B.
